
Keroka Municipality covers approximately 133 square kilometres in Masaba North Sub-County, Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County, about 37km south-west of Nyamira Town. It comprises the entirety of Rigoma and Gesima wards, together with portions of Gachuba, Magombo, and Nyansiongo wards, and shares boundaries with Borabu, Nyamira South, Manga, and Masaba South Sub-Counties. Strategically located along the Kisii-Sotik and Kisii-Kilgoris Roads, Keroka is a key commercial, administrative, and service centre with a cosmopolitan population estimated at 107,922 persons in 2019, projected to reach 143,482 by 2029.
